• Learner's license

• MCWOG/FVG

All non-gear vehicles like scooters, mopeds, etc. are required to have MCWOG/FVG driving license. It is issued for people above the age of 18 years

• Commercial vehicle

Vehicles meant for commercial purposes are issued commercial vehicle licenses. Vehicles with medium good carrying capacity heavy goods, heavy passengers, etc. come in this category. The licenses issued include HMV, HGMV, MGV, and HPMV/HTV

• LMV

Light Motor Vehicles like cars, autorickshaws, jeeps, vans, etc. are issued LMV licenses. People above the age of 18 years can apply.

Types of driver's license issued by Kalyan RTO

• Temporary registration

Temporary registration of a vehicle is done at the time of purchasing a new motor vehicle. It is valid for 7 days post which, a vehicle must have a permanent registration number to drive on Indian roads

• Permanent registration

Once the owner of the motor vehicle submits all the required documents, a permanent registration number is issued by Kalyan RTO. It is a mandatory document to drive legally on the roads of India.
