Key roles and responsibilities of the RTO office Hyderabad

RTO office Hyderabad issues and renews various types of licenses, such as beginner's driving licenses, permanent driving licenses, etc.

• Issuing vehicle registration certificates, trade licenses, vehicle fitness certificates, conductor licenses, etc.

• Implementing changes in traffic rules across the city

• Collecting green taxes, quarterly taxes, composite taxes, border taxes, etc. are a few more of them

• Collecting penalties and challan for violations of traffic rules and regulations.

Types of driving licenses

RTO Hyderabad issues the following driving licenses based on the type of vehicle:

• Two-wheeler under 50 CC

If you are 16 years of age or older and want to freely ride a two-wheeler, here you go. Individuals over the age of 16 are issued a driving license by RTO Hyderabad to ride a 50CC motorcycle.

• Geared or non-geared two-wheelers

Geared and non-geared two-wheelers are light vehicles used by individuals for personal, commercial, and transportation purposes. RTO Office Hyderabad issues two-wheeler geared vehicle driving licenses to individuals over the age of 18.

• Commercial vehicle

RTO Hyderabad issues driving licenses for four-wheelers and heavy vehicles too. However, you must be at least 18 years old and have completed the eighth grade.

• Personal vehicle

Issuing driver’s licenses for personal vehicles is also done by the RTO Hyderabad.

Motor vehicle registration at the RTO Office Hyderabad

RTO Hyderabad offers two types of registration certificates,

1. Temporary registration

When you purchase a new vehicle, you receive a temporary vehicle registration certificate that is valid for 7 to 30 days maximum.

2. Permanent registration

Once you submit the request for a registration certificate, you receive a permanent registration certificate for your vehicle after the document and background verification
